Recently, about 135 friends gathered for Love in Action: A Benefit Dinner for FOCUS Minnesota, celebrating the growing work of the Center and the lives being touched through Christ-centered service.

Thanks to the generosity of those in the room and supporters from afar, the evening raised approximately $25,000 for FOCUS Minnesota.

The celebration came at an exciting time for the Center. Compared with the same period last year, FOCUS Minnesota’s impact has grown by nearly 50%.

Already this year, the Center has served 7,661 individuals, distributed more than 8,000 meals and bagged lunches, provided 12,413 clothing, hygiene, and household items, and engaged volunteers in more than 1,500 hours of service.

Guests also heard the story of Willie, a neighbor who has turned to FOCUS Minnesota through a season of tremendous hardship. Through meals, clothing, medical supplies, and a community that knows his name, he has found more than practical help.

“Thank you for your kindness,” Willie recently shared. “I’m really starting to like myself again.”

That is the heart of this ministry: meeting immediate needs while restoring dignity, belonging, and hope.

As FOCUS Minnesota continues to grow, so do its needs. The Center is entirely donor-funded and is also working toward a $100,000 roof project to ensure its building remains a safe and secure home for ministry in the years ahead.

Those wishing to support the roof project may make a designated gift and indicate “ROOF” in the comments. Checks may also be mailed to FOCUS North America, PO Box 645039, Pittsburgh, PA 15264-5039, with “Minnesota Roof” in the memo.

To everyone who attended Love in Action, gave, volunteered, prayed, or continues to support FOCUS Minnesota: thank you for making Christ’s love visible.
