Lidya joins OCF as our first-ever Community Engagement Coordinator, a brand-new role focused on strengthening our relationships with OCF chapters, students, clergy, alumni, and parishes across the country.
Lidya first became involved with OCF as a freshman at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her love for Pan-Orthodox ministry, the hymnography of Orthodox worship, and serving the Church has led her to work alongside many ministries, spending summers building homes with Project Mexico, organizing food and clothing drives with FOCUS Detroit, and participating in trauma-informed healing work within the Pittsburgh community through the Neighborhood Resilience Project before joining the OCF team.
Lidya’s heart is for nurturing and cultivating the ever-growing Orthodox world. She is a forever curious, lifelong learner, musician, and lover of people who firmly believes that “the most important person is the one right in front of you.” She loves finding Christ in the eyes of those she sees, in the sounds of creation, and in the simple moments of everyday life.
She currently lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she attends St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church (OCA).
