On Saturday, November 12, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Innocent Church in Redford, MI. Bishop John was co-served at the Divine Liturgy by parish rector and dean of the Central States, Archpriest Roman Star; father-rectors and clerics of the Patriarchal Parishes as well as guest clergy of various jurisdictions. 

Before the start of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John tonsured Victor Cardarelli, a parishioner of the Nativity of Christ Church in Youngstown, Ohio a reader. After the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop John ordained Subdeacon Joshua Genig a Deacon. Deacon Joshua will fulfill his service at St. Innocent Church. 

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop John greeted all the parishioners and especially congratulated Deacon Joshua on the momentous occasion. 

A bountiful luncheon was prepared by the parish where friendly interaction continued throughout the day.
