Celebration of Veteran’s Day at the Ukrainian American Veterans National Monument in South Bound Brook, New Jersey

The Ukrainian American Veterans National Monument in So. Bound Brook, New Jersey, which was erected and blessed one year ago, became a place for local veterans, their family members, clergy and faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to gather at least twice a year (Memorial Day in May and Veteran’s Day in November) to honor and pay tribute to the hundreds of thousands of Americans of Ukrainian descent who gave so much—in far too many cases their very lives—in service to the United States of America.

On November 11, 2016 at 11:00 am, a service was conducted by His Eminence Metropolitan Antony – Ruling Hierarch of the UOC of USA and Diaspora, with assistance of local clergy: Very Rev. Yuriy Siwko, Rev. Vasyl Pasakas, Rev. Vasyl Shak, and responses sung by the student choir of St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary.
