Bishop John Performs Diaconal Ordination on Feast of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles

On Friday, January 27, the feast of St. Nino, Equal to the Apostles, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral. His Grace was co-served by the Chancellor of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and rector of Three Saints Church in Garfield, New Jersey, Archpriest George Konyev and clerics of the cathedral.

During the Divine Liturgy, after his ordination to the subdiaconate, Bishop John performed the Diaconal Ordination of Reader Nicholas DeGraaff. Deacon Nicholas will fulfull his service in Three Saints Church in Garfield.

At the conclusion of the Liturgy, with the blessing of Bishop John, Fr. George greeted all those gathered in the church with the feast of St. Nino. Afterwards, Bishop John congratulated the new cleric of the Patriarchal Parishes and wished him God’s help in his new obedience.
