His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America arrived in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, where he will preside over the 48th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress. The gathering will bring together clergy and faithful from across the Archdiocese for prayer, fellowship, and collaborative reflection on the future of the Church in America. His Eminence Metropolitan Savas of Pittsburgh, Host Metropolitan; Fr. George Callos, Chancellor of the Metropolis of Pittsburgh; and a delegation from the Host Committee enthusiastically welcomed Archbishop Elpidophoros.

Also arriving today were the Patriarchal Representatives to the Congress, His Eminence Metropolitan Arsenios of Austria, His Eminence Metropolitan Filotheos of Thessaloniki, and Grand Archimandrite Iakovos (Krochak). Throughout the day, members of the Holy Eparchial Synod continued to arrive as well, further reflecting the significance of this national gathering.

Tomorrow, a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy will take place at St. Nicholas Church in North Royalton, followed by an Agiasmos service at the Greek Cultural Gardens—setting a prayerful and celebratory tone for the days ahead.
