His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America spoke today with the newly-elected President of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York, Mr. Christos Vournas, extending his heartfelt congratulations on his election.

His Eminence conveyed the full support of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America and affirmed that the entire Omogeneia stands alongside President Vournas as he undertakes the important work of rebuilding and strengthening the Federation. The Archbishop offered his prayerful wishes for wisdom, strength, and every success in this new chapter of leadership in service to our Hellenic community.

Archbishop Elpidophoros arrived in Cleveland today, where tomorrow’s opening Divine Liturgy of the 48th Biennial Clergy-Laity Congress will take place.
