Funds Will Directly Support Life-Giving Student Programs

Brookline, Mass. – October 15, 2024 – OCF is profoundly moved by the outpouring of support and generosity that has empowered our college students this fall. A record-breaking $130,000 was raised, thanks in part to an incredible $60,000 matching gift and the contributions of numerous individual donors. These funds will ensure that OCF’s impactful programs for the 2024-2025 academic year remain accessible to all college students eager to participate.

A large majority of these funds will significantly help keep student fees afforable for Regional Retreats, College Conference, Real Break, and the Summer Leadership Institute. OCF relies on donations to subsidize a large portion of these event costs. In the 2023-2024 academic year, donors helped underwrite more than $100,000 for student events and gatherings. Thanks to the overwhelming success of this Back-to-School campaign, students in the 2024-2025 academic year will have the opportunity to attend OCF’s life-enriching programs, regardless of their financial situation.

This semester, OCF is organizing five Regional Retreats and the College Conference program, which together will welcome over 500 students for faith in action, fellowship, prayer, service, and education.

With a presence on more than 250 campuses, OCF offers a wide range of local, regional, and national programming. Its most exciting recent endeavor, the Campus Missionary Initiative, makes OCF more present and engaged with college students than ever before, helping them stay connected to Christ and the Orthodox Faith throughout their college years.
