New Skete Monasteries will host its annual Pilgrimage Celebration on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 273 New Skete Lane, Cambridge, NY. The day is open to the public and offers an opportunity for prayer, worship, learning, and fellowship in the peaceful setting of the monastery.
The pilgrimage invites visitors to experience the rhythm of monastic life through the Divine Liturgy, guided tours of Holy Wisdom Church, opportunities for quiet reflection in the monastery’s Labyrinth, and fellowship with members of the community.
This year’s featured speaker is Dr. Ioana Popa, a physician-psychiatrist, educator, executive coach, Christian spiritual-care provider, and co-founder and CEO of Team For The Soul® Institute. Her afternoon presentation, “Science and Faith: Partners in the Journey,” will explore the integration of body, mind, heart, and soul as we seek to live and serve Christ.
The day begins with Matins at 8:45 AM, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 9:45 AM. Additional activities include a guided tour of Holy Wisdom Church, an introduction to the monastery’s Labyrinth, folk dancing, and Vespers with a Healing Service at 5:00 PM. Lunch will be available, with donations welcomed.
Throughout the day, visitors may spend time in the Labyrinth for personal prayer and reflection. The New Skete Gift Shop at the Nuns’ Monastery will also be open from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
There is no charge to attend. All are welcome.
