Ambassador of Ukraine in the United Kingdom Natalia Galibarenko Held a Working Meeting with Archbishop-elect of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Great Britain and Western Europe Daniel and the representatives of the Church in Great Britain

In the morning hours of Friday, 20^th of January, 2017 His Eminence Archbishop-elect Daniel, escorted by Very Rev. Fr. Bohdan Matwijchuk and members of the Consistory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Eparchy of Great Britain met with the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Mrs. Natalia Galibarenko.

Following the formal introductions, the delegation discussed with the Ambassador the status of ecclesiastical life of Ukrainian Orthodoxy in Ukraine and  Diaspora. The conversation took place around various subjects of humanitarian interests, among which were the aid to the wounded soldiers and their families – the victims of the ongoing aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine, the status of Ukrainian orphanages, etc.

In conclusion, the plans were made for the formal commemoration of the Unity Day by the faithful of the Church in London on January 22, 2017.
