The schedule of liturgical services has been announced for the 20th All-American Council, July 18-22, 2022 in Baltimore, MD. Father Alexander Rentel, OCA Chancellor, notes that there are changes this year from past All-American Councils, specifically the addition of a Panikhida on Wednesday and a Divine Liturgy on Friday. With the addition of the Divine Liturgy on Friday morning, departures from the AAC should be delayed accordingly.
In addition to the Moliebens to open and close the Council, the liturgical schedule is:
Tuesday, July 19
7:00 AM Divine Liturgy — Served by the clergy of the Diocese of Alaska.
5:30 PM Vespers
Wednesday, July 20
7:00 AM Divine Liturgy — His Grace Bishop Andrei presiding with clergy from non-territorial dioceses concelebrating.
5:30 PM Panikhida
Thursday, July 21
8:00 AM Divine Liturgy
Friday, July 22
7:00 AM Divine Liturgy — Served by clergy of the Diocese of Mexico.
Father Alexander notes that the Liturgies celebrated by the clergy of Alaska, the non-territorial dioceses, and Mexico will be served according to their traditions and practices, in the manner typical within their dioceses. This is specifically to highlight a fuller expression of the liturgical life of the entire Orthodox Church in America. The Divine Liturgy on Thursday will have His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon preside with the Holy Synod and auxiliary bishops concelebrating.
The general Panikhida served Wednesday afternoon will commemorate the many clergy and faithful who have reposed in the Lord in the last four years since the last All-American Council. People will have the opportunity to submit names of the departed to be remembered at the Panikhida.
