Hellenic College Holy Cross Convocation for the 2016-17 academic school year will take place on Tuesday, September 13th at 3:00 pm at the Maliotis Cultural Center.
The annual event will begin at 3:00 pm with a full procession of freshmen, ongoing students and faculty from the Archbishop Cavadas Administration Building to the Maliotis Cultural Center.
The formal program will include an invocation from His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, Geron of America, a welcome from Rev. Fr. Christopher T. Metropulos, President, and a Keynote Address by the Dean of Hellenic College, Dr. Demetrios Katos. The program will close with a benediction by the Archbishop. A reception will follow.
Great Vespers for the Major Feast of The Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross will be served by His Eminence at 5:00 pm in Holy Cross Chapel. The bestowal of crosses and exorassa upon qualifying seminarians by the Archbishop will follow.
Orthros for the Great Feast will be served at 7:45 am on Wednesday, September 14th at Holy Cross Chapel. Hierarchal Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am.
The day of September 14th has been earmarked as #HonorSeptember14 – a day of giving campaign dedicated to educating the future Orthodox Christian ordained and lay leaders of Hellenic College Holy Cross.
