On August 14 (August 1 O.S.), 2018, at the beginning of the Old Calendar Dormition Fast, alumnus Khader Baramki (STOTS 2015) was ordained to the Holy Diaconate by the hands of His Eminence Aristarchus, Archbishop of Constantia. The ordination took place in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, the site where Our Lord was crucified, buried, and rose again. It is the hope of the Holy Synod of Jerusalem, according to the Patriarchate’s website, to ordain Dn. Khader to the priesthood in the near future, to serve the Cathedral of St. James the Brother of the Lord. Dn. Khader is the first known St. Tikhon’s alumnus to be ordained at the Tomb of Christ.
Axios and many years to Dn. Khader!
