LAKEWOOD, CO — With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, Archbishop of Detroit and the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, on Sunday, August 23, 2026, the 12th Sunday after Pentecost, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland was among the faithful of St. John the Hozevite Romanian Orthodox Parish in Lakewood, Colorado, for the celebration of the parish’s patronal feast.
His Grace attended the Holy and Divine Liturgy. Following the Holy Liturgy, His Grace officiated the Mystery of Holy Unction, assisted by the attached priest, Rev. Fr. Gheorghe Cristian Lutas.
He conveyed the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel and offered words of encouragement to the parish community and its faithful, urging them to remain steadfast in the Orthodox faith and united in the life and mission of the Church.
Although the feast of St. John the Hozevite is commemorated on August 5, the parish traditionally holds its annual community celebration after the Feast of the Dormition of the Birthgiver of God.

LAKEWOOD, CO — Cu binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Nathaniel, Arhiepiscop de Detroit și al Episcopiei Ortodoxe Române din America, duminică, 23 august 2026, în Duminica a XII-a după Rusalii, Preasfințitul Părinte Andrei, Episcop de Cleveland, s-a aflat în mijlocul credincioșilor Parohiei Ortodoxe Române „Sfântul Ioan Hozevitul” din Lakewood, Colorado, cu prilejul sărbătoririi hramului.
Preasfinția Sa a participat la Sfânta și Dumnezeiasca Liturghie. După încheierea acesteia, Preasfințitul Părinte Andrei a săvârșit Taina Sfântului Maslu, alături de Preasfinția Sa slujind, PC. Pr. Gheorghe Cristian Lutaș, preot slujitorul al parohiei.
Preasfinția Sa a transmis binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Arhiepiscop Nathaniel și a adresat cuvinte de încurajare comunității parohiale și credincioșilor, îndemnându-i să rămână statornici în credința ortodoxă și uniți în viața și misiunea Bisericii.
Deși Sfântul Ioan Hozevitul este prăznuit la 5 august, potrivit tradiției parohiei, sărbătoarea anuală a comunității are loc după praznicul Adormirii Maicii Domnului.
