On December 5-6, 2025, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the celebration of services at St. Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC, for their patronal feast day.
On December 5, His Beatitude celebrated the All-Night Vigil. With him was the Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America, Archpriest Alessandro Margheritino, and Priest David Bozeman, the Secretary of the Orthodox Church in America, along with local cathedral and Archdiocesan clergy. The next morning, on December 6, His Beatitude presided at the celebration of the hierarchical Divine Liturgy.
At the conclusion of the Liturgy, His Beatitude greeted all present, reminding them of the simplicity of St. Nicholas and his legacy of charity and faithfulness. After singing hymns to St. Nicholas, all left for refreshments following the service.
