Survival starts with the basics—food, water, shelter. When we serve a meal at Loaves and Fishes FOCUS Atlanta, we’re doing more than providing nourishment. We’re laying the foundation for stability and trust in the lives of those we serve.
Since becoming a FOCUS Center in August, Loaves and Fishes has seen remarkable growth. We now serve 55–60 individuals daily, up from 40–45 this time last year. The support of our community has been inspiring: daily volunteer participation is increasing, inquiries about how to get involved are growing, and donations of food, clothing, and hygiene items are pouring in as we approach the holidays.
Christmas Backpack Giveaway
This Christmas marks the 7th year of our Annual Christmas Backpack Giveaway, a beloved tradition for the homeless men and women in Downtown Atlanta. These backpacks are more than gifts—they’re lifelines filled with essentials and hope, gratefully received by all who attend.
This year, we aim to distribute 72 fully stocked backpacks on Christmas Day, including 12 backpacks specially curated for women. To make this happen, we need your help! Donations must be received by December 21st to ensure we can bless our neighbors in time for Christmas.
