Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki [STOTS Class 2005] will be the keynote speaker at the eighth annual Alumni Retreat on the campus of Saint Tikhon’s Seminary on Friday, August 30, 2024.

The gathering offers STOTS graduates an opportunity to attend a seminar, interact with fellow alumni and current seminarians, and participate in the liturgical cycle at the Monastery.  The Alumni Association’s annual meeting and picnic will be held in conjunction with the retreat. This year the annual meeting will include elections of all positions of office.

Father Timothy will offer a presentation entitled: “The Lord is King.”

In addition, on Thursday afternoon there will be a talk “A Mission of Inculturation: A Saint Tikhon’s visit to the Archdiocese of Nairobi and All Kenya” led by Father John Parker, dean of Saint Tikhon’s Seminary and the seminarians who recently returned from their missionary trip.

“As the new school year draws near, what better way for us to boost our spiritual lives and bring it back to our parishes and places of ministry than to bring ourselves back to where it all began for us and for our current and incoming seminarians to gather with our alumni,” said Priest Patrick Burns, Alumni Association President.

All Saint Tikhon’s alumni are encouraged to come participate in this year’s retreat in person. Those that are unable to join in person are encouraged to sign up to watch the seminar and participate in the annual meeting online. Retreat registration is $100, which includes the cost of annual dues for the Alumni Association and donation for the picnic. Registration or dues payments can be made at this link.

Online participants are also asked to pay the registration fee to help defray the cost of the event. The link for online participants will be emailed to those who register closer to the date of the retreat.

The Saint Tikhon’s Alumni Association hopes to see as many alumni as possible that can make it to this wonderful opportunity for fellowship and prayer. Any questions can be emailed to Father Patrick Burns at pnevmaticmotives@gmail.com.
