On September 9, Fr. Joseph Lucas (STOTS 2010) received his Ph.D. in Theology from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in the Netherlands. He successfully defended his thesis titled “Offerer and Offering: Cyril of Alexandria on Jewish and Christian Sacrifice.” His supervisors were Fr. Andrew Louth and Fr. John Behr, and his examination panel included Fr. John McGuckin and Lewis Ayres. Fr. Joseph is the rector of Christ the Saviour Orthodox Cathedral (OCA) in Miami Lakes, Florida. He is also a Senior Editor of Rule of Faith Journal.
