NEW YORK – A two-day meeting of Orthodox Christian organizations working with people who experience homelessness commenced today at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. The meeting, hosted by the Department of Inter-Orthodox, Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations, which is also responsible for social issues, seeks to produce a common understanding from an Orthodox Christian perspective. It will also provide recommendations to the Assembly of Bishops on the situation, which effects a significant percentage of the population.
