On Sunday, June 4, the feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles (Pentecost), the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, His Grace Bishop John of Naro-Fominsk led the All-Night Vigil and Divine Liturgy in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City. His Grace was co-served at the Divine Liturgy by the Dean of the Central States, Archpriest Roman Star and cleric of the cathedral.

After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Bishop John delivered a sermon dedicated to the feast.

After the Great Entrance, Bishop John ordained Deacon Joshua Genig, cleric of St. Innocent Church in Redford, MI to the Holy Priesthood. Following the Eucharistic Canon, Bishop John ordained Reader Dmitry Schieffler to the Diacoate preceded by his ordination to the Subdiacoate at the reading of the Sixth Hour. 

Immediately following Divine Liturgy, Great Vespers for the feast of Pentecost was served during which Bishop John led the reading of the Kneeling Prayers. During the singing of the Great Prokimen, rose petals were strewn from the center cupola of the cathedral to the faithful below symbolizing the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles.

At the conclusion of the Divine Services, Bishop John greeted all the parishioners as well as the newly-ordianed clergymen of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA and wished them fortitude in their ministry.
