The Stephen and Catherine Pappas Patristic Institute of the Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology will hold its 13th annual Graduate Student Conference from March 2-4, 2017, on the HCHC campus. The conference brings together graduate students from the fields of patristic studies, historical theology, and the history of Christianity in late antiquity in a collaborative and theological setting to hear and discuss peer research. February 3 is the deadline for submission of paper abstracts, February 24 for completed papers.
Of the 32 presenters at last year’s conference, six were Holy Cross students, among them Paul Colwell. “It was my first presentation of an academic paper, but I unexpectedly became the keynote speaker when the person originally designated wasn’t able to do it. Fortunately, it went really well. Actually, for me, the best part of the whole experience was in the discussions between presentations and the opportunity for all of us to share our work and get to know each other.”
