A live stream of the Arvo Pärt: Sounding the Sacred conference, hosted by the Sacred Arts Initiative of Saint Vladimir’s Seminary in collaboration with the Orthodox Christian Studies Center of Fordham University, will be available on-line today—Monday, May 1, 2017. As reported earlier, the conference is being held May 1-4 at McNally Amphitheatre at the Lincoln Center Campus of Fordham University. This international, multidisciplinary conference will investigate questions of sound, music, materiality, embodiment and spirituality through the lens of the work and phenomenon of Arvo Pärt, an Estonian Orthodox Christian and the most-performed living classical music composer of our day.
