On May 9โ10, 2026, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel was among the faithful of St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Parish in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, near the Massachusetts border, on the occasion of the celebration of 50 years of marriage of Protopresbyter Onisie Morar and Preoteasa Anca Morar, as well as the 50th anniversary of Father Onisieโs ordination to the holy priesthood.
Founded in 1912, St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church has welcomed Orthodox Christians for more than a century, remaining a place of prayer, fellowship, and faithful witness in the Romanian Orthodox tradition.
The parish is served by Rev. Fr. Daniel Florean, parish priest, together with Protopresbyter Onisie Morar, assistant priest, who has devoted many years of priestly service to the Church and to the faithful entrusted to his care.
On Saturday, May 9, a Service of Thanksgiving was officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel and His Grace Bishop Andrei, assisted by a number of priests and deacons. During this special occasion, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel bestowed upon Protopresbyter Onisie Morar a Gramota from the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America, in recognition of his devoted ministry, faithfulness, and service to the Church.
On Sunday, May 10, the Fifth Sunday after Pascha, dedicated to the Samaritan Woman, His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy, assisted by Rev. Fr. Daniel Florean, parish priest, Protopresbyter Onisie Morar, assistant priest, and Hdn. Benedict Oancea.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, words of gratitude and appreciation were offered for the many years of service, dedication, and witness of Father Onisie and Preoteasa Anca. The faithful then gathered together for an agape meal, continuing the celebration in a spirit of joy, gratitude, and Christian fellowship.

Cu acest prilej, รnaltpreasfinศia Sa a oferit Pฤrintelui Protopresbiter Onisie Morar Gramata din partea Sfรขntului Sinod al Bisericii Ortodoxe din America, รฎn semn de recunoaศtere pentru slujirea sa devotatฤ, credincioศia ศi dฤruirea sa faศฤ de Bisericฤ.
