Demetrios (Jim) Logothetis, outgoing Chairman of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Fund, has been appointed Chairman of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) by the Securities and Exchange Commission. His appointment was announced on January 30, 2026.
The PCAOB is the nonprofit corporation established by Congress through the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 to oversee the audits of public companies and broker-dealers, ensuring the preparation of informative, accurate, and independent audit reports that protect investors and the public interest. Logothetis will serve a term ending October 24, 2030.
Logothetis, who immigrated from Greece to the United States at age 13, brings to this critical regulatory role four decades of experience at Ernst & Young, where he rose to the level of Vice Chairman and Senior Partner. During his distinguished career, he served as lead partner for several of the firm’s most prestigious clients, including Fortune 250 companies such as The Coca-Cola Company. He held leadership positions spanning offices in Chicago, New York, London, Frankfurt, and Atlanta, serving as Vice Chairman of Global Accounts, Managing Partner of the Midwest U.S. Assurance and Advisory Practices, and Chairman of the German Business Center in the United States.
Since his installation as Leadership 100 Chairman in February 2022, Logothetis has guided the organization through a period of significant growth and renewed focus on its core mission of advancing Orthodoxy and Hellenism in America.
Under his leadership, Leadership 100 has continued its vital support of the National Ministries of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, with particular emphasis on theological education at Hellenic College Holy Cross, clergy support, and programs for young professionals. Michael N. Bapis, Managing Director and Private Wealth Advisor at Rockefeller Global Family Office, who served as Vice Chairman under Logothetis, was elected by the Board of Trustees in November 2025 to succeed him as Chairman effective this month.
His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has frequently praised Logothetis for his service, describing him as “a person of remarkable talent and energy” who has assisted the Archdiocese in manifold ways, including Greek education initiatives and work on the Archdiocesan Charter.
Logothetis holds an MBA in Accounting, Finance, and International Business from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Accountancy from DePaul University. His service to the Church extends across decades, having served on the Archdiocesan Council and as Parish Council President of Holy Trinity Church in Chicago. He is a founding member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hellenic American Academy in Chicago, Vice Chairman of the National Hellenic Museum Board of Trustees, former Chair of the Board of Trustees at The American College of Greece, and a steward of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine.
He and his wife, Marianthe Analitis, have three children—all members of Leadership 100—and ten grandchildren. They are members of Ascension of Our Lord Church in Lincolnshire, Illinois, St. Katherine Church in Naples, Florida, and St. Demetrios Church in Libertyville, Illinois.
The 35th Annual Leadership 100 Conference convenes February 5–8, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference marks the 42nd anniversary of Leadership 100’s founding and the 20th anniversary of the passing of its founder, Archbishop Iakovos. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros will preside over the gathering, which concludes with Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix on Sunday, February 8.
