This Friday, Dec. 12, St. Mark Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in Paramus, New Jersey will host its annual Pan-Orthodox Christmas concert.
The event invitation reads:
“The annual “Pan-Orthodox Christmas Concert” will take place on Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., at St. Mark Syriac Orthodox Cathedral in Paramus, NJ (55 W. Midland Ave., Paramus). Hear the majestic spiritual music of the Nativity season, presented by choirs of the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches—including the Eastern Diocese’s Gomidas Choir, under the direction of Maestro Kris Kalfayan. Diocesan Primate Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan will be among the church leaders in attendance, along with clergy of area Armenian and sister churches. Organized by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of America and the Standing Conference of Oriental Orthodox Hierarchs.”
Presented by professional choirs of the Eastern & Oriental Orthodox Christian Churches, the event will offer “an array of majestic Nativity season hymns” and “portray the ancient apostolic tradition of the Holy Incarnation and Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”
