Upon entering the cathedral, Archbishop Elpidophoros paused in prayer before the revered relics of the Apostle Andrew, venerating the reliquary containing the saint’s head as well as a relic of the X-shaped cross on which, according to tradition, the Apostle was martyred. He then entered the sanctuary, where he offered further prayers at the holy altar.

The visit concluded with a tour of the Metropolis Museum on either side of the choir, where the Archbishop viewed a collection of ecclesiastical treasures, including relics, liturgical items, and historical artifacts associated with the local Church and its centuries-old witness.
