Last week a few of us gathered via Zoom to listen to Dr. Yannis Papakonstantinou’s thought-provoking presentation on ever-more capable AI and LLMs (Large Language Models). Dr. Papakonstantinou gave an overview of recent trends in AI and LLM research, before considering the implications of these advances for humans and raising questions about the viability of our current economic system in the face of rapidly advancing technology.
