An invitation has been extended to all clergy of the Orthodox Church in America and their wives to participate in a webinar, “The Sacrament of Listening in Our Lives and Ministry,” at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, October 25, 2016.
Hosted—at no cost to participants—by the Center for Family Care of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, this webinar is the most recent offering in a series of on-line presentations launched in November 2015 designed to provide clergy families with resources to support their ministries. Each session is run live, permitting participants to engage in discussion with these dynamic speakers.
According to Priest Nathan Preston, Administrator of the OCA’s Department of Pastoral Life, Dr. Philip Mamalakis will facilitate the presentation and discussion.
“Dr. Mamalakis is Assistant Professor of Pastoral Care at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Brookline, MA, where he directs the field education program and teaches courses on ministry, marriage and family, grief, and death and dying,” said Father Nathan. “He also maintains a private practice, counseling individuals, couples, and families and is a noted author and contributor to volumes on marriage and parenting.”
Interested clergy and their wives are asked to register in advance on-line. All webinar sessions are catalogued for later viewing and may be accessed on YouTube.
