On August 27-28, the feast of the Dormition of the Holy Thetokos, the Administrator of the Patriarchal Parishes in the USA led the Divine Services in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City.
On the eve of the feast, BIshop John led the All-Night Vigil, co-served by cathedral clergy. During the singing of the Polyeleos, the Holy Shroud with the icon of the Dormition was brought from the altar to the center of the church. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, Bishop John read the Sunday and Festal Canon.
