MIDDLE VILLAGE, NY — With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel of Detroit and the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Sunday after the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, His Grace Bishop Andrei of Cleveland, Auxiliary Bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America, traveled to Middle Village, New York, where he officiated the Holy and Divine Liturgy at Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel Romanian Orthodox Church.
Assisting His Grace at the Divine Liturgy was the Very Rev. Fr. Dimitrie Musta, the parish priest.
The hierarchical visit marked the parish’s 30th anniversary. Founded in 1996, the community has served the Romanian Orthodox faithful in New York for three decades, preserving the Orthodox faith and bringing together generations of parishioners in prayer and fellowship.
During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace offered prayers of thanksgiving for the founders, clergy, benefactors, and faithful who have supported the parish throughout its history. He also prayed for the continued spiritual growth of the community and for God’s help in its future ministry.
Following the Holy and Divine Liturgy, an agape meal was offered by the parish community in celebration of this special anniversary. The gathering provided an opportunity for the faithful to give thanks to God for the blessings bestowed upon their parish during its first 30 years and to renew their commitment to the life and mission of the Church.
Preasfințitul Părinte Andrei de Cleveland, s-a aflat în mijlocul credincioșilor din Middle Village, New York, la aniversarea a 30 de ani de la înființarea parohiei
MIDDLE VILLAGE, NY — Cu binecuvântarea Înaltpreasfințitului Părinte Nathaniel, Arhiepiscop de Detroit și al Episcopiei Ortodoxe Române din America, duminică, 20 septembrie 2026, în Duminica după Înălțarea Sfintei Cruci, Preasfințitul Părinte Andrei de Cleveland, Episcop-vicar al Episcopiei Ortodoxe Române din America, a vizitat Parohia Ortodoxă Română „Sfinții Arhangheli Mihail și Gavriil” din Middle Village, New York, unde a oficiat Sfânta și Dumnezeiasca Liturghie.
Alături de Preasfinția Sa a slujit PC. Pr. Dimitrie Musta, preotul paroh al comunității.
izita Preasfințitului Părinte Andrei a avut loc cu prilejul împlinirii a 30 de ani de la înființarea parohiei. Întemeiată în anul 1996, comunitatea slujește de trei decenii credincioșilor ortodocși români din zona New York, păstrând credința ortodoxă și adunând în jurul Bisericii mai multe generații de credincioși.
În cadrul Sfintei Liturghii, Preasfințitul Părinte Andrei a înălțat rugăciuni de mulțumire pentru ctitorii, clericii, binefăcătorii și credincioșii care au sprijinit parohia de-a lungul celor 30 de ani. Totodată, Preasfinția Sa s-a rugat pentru sporirea duhovnicească a comunității și pentru ajutorul lui Dumnezeu în continuarea lucrării sale pastorale și misionare.
După Sfânta și Dumnezeiasca Liturghie, comunitatea parohială a oferit o agapă frățească pentru a marca această aniversare deosebită. Cu acest prilej, credincioșii au adus mulțumire lui Dumnezeu pentru binecuvântările revărsate asupra parohiei în cei 30 de ani de existență și și-au reînnoit angajamentul de a sprijini în continuare viața și misiunea Bisericii.
