On July 2nd, Eva Konstantakos, National Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries (Y2AM); John Panos, Chair of the 2026 National Young Adult League Conference; and Lenie Tsakonas, National Chair of the Young Adult League (YAL) Board; led a workshop on “Building Parish Young Adult Ministry that Lasts: Strengthening Young Adult League (YAL) Ministry”at the 48th Clergy-Laity Congress in Cleveland, Ohio.

This joint session of the Clergy Laity Congress and the National YAL Conference offered a focused approach to building and revitalizing Young Adult League (YAL) ministries through clear purpose, practical goal-setting, and sustainable communication.

While it included a panel of experienced leaders, the workshop was intentionally designed as a listening session, inviting participants to share parish-specific challenges, needs, successes, and best practices. Attendees received parish guidelines to support implementation. By integrating real-life input with practical tools, the session equipped participants to strengthen young adult (YAL) ministry and to cultivate more deeply engaged young adults within the fullness of parish life.
