In the halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America held a welcome dinner for participants of the 2026 Clergy-Laity Congress. Attendees celebrated the artists, songs, and moments that have shaped generations of music, while taking in the local Cleveland culture.

Following the first full day of the Congress, clergy and laity gathered along the shores of Lake Erie for an evening of fellowship, conversation, and celebration. The reception offered attendees a chance to reconnect with friends, meet fellow participants from across the Archdiocese, and experience one of Cleveland’s most iconic cultural landmarks.

The venue also echoed themes from the day’s opening keynote, during which His Eminence Metropolitan Savas referenced Bob Dylan’s lyrics in “Forever Young.” That connection made the evening at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame especially fitting, reminding faithful of music’s enduring ability to inspire reflection, foster dialogue, and connect people across generations.

Guests explored the museum’s exhibits, spanning rock and roll’s pioneers to its contemporary artists. They came away with a unique glimpse into the history and influence of one of America’s most celebrated art forms.

The evening also highlighted the hospitality of the host city, giving visitors a taste of Cleveland’s vibrant waterfront over dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Conversations continued throughout the museum as participants reflected on the day’s sessions and looked ahead to the Congress’s work ahead.

The welcome reception set a warm tone for the week ahead, bringing together hierarchs, clergy, delegates, volunteers, and guests in a spirit of fellowship as the official business of the Congress continues.
