The National Forum of Greek Orthodox Church Musicians is proud to announce the creation of the Parish Music Leadership Program. This new initiative is made possible through the generous support of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Fund.   

The Parish Music Leadership Project is a new online, on-demand music instruction platform designed for all church musicians including choirs, chanters, youth choirs, Sunday Church School programs, and clergy. The program will foster the ongoing musical and ecclesiastical growth of parish music leaders across the nation, strengthening the vitality and continuity of Orthodox sacred music throughout the Archdiocese.   

This program will enhance the quality and consistency of music in all liturgical services. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills to serve effectively in musical, liturgical, and administrative roles. It will directly benefit our youth by supporting the Sunday Church School Curriculum and youth choirs. In addition, the program will provide clergy with specialized guidance on vocal health and technique. The Parish Music Leadership Program will offer flexible, practical and a readily accessible pathway to learn at a comfortable individualized pace and schedule. The vision of the of this ground-breaking project is to provide a modern on-line learning platform which parishioners across the country can participate in courses created and curated by active members of the Greek Orthodox Church in America who are also professional music educators. Through structured lessons and personalized mentorship, participants will become more fully equipped to lead and inspire within their parishes, enhancing the worship experience for all and ensuring the continuity of our sacred music for generations to come. 

The National Forum will be showcasing the new Parish Music Leadership project at a dedicated booth at the upcoming 2026 Clergy Laity Congress offering interactive modules of the programs currently under production.
