Today, February 1, His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America called His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios, formerly of America, to wish him a happy 98th birthday.

During their conversation, Archbishop Elpidophoros informed Archbishop Demetrios that the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will honor his life and ministry at the Archbishop Elpidophoros Nameday Gala on November 2, 2026.

This special evening will celebrate the extraordinary lifetime of service offered by Archbishop Demetrios to the Church.
