On the occasion of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America’s Nameday, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America announces the establishment of the Archbishop’s Award of Excellence, a new honor recognizing individuals for their exceptional service to the Archdiocese and to the broader Greek-American community.

The inaugural Archbishop’s Award of Excellence will be presented at the annual Nameday Dinner on November 3, 2025, at Leonard’s Palazzo. This year’s distinguished honorees are Paulette Poulos and Philip Christopher, both of whom have devoted their lives to advancing the mission of the Church, strengthening the Greek American community, and promoting its growth and well-being.

The Archdiocese invites all faithful, clergy, laity, and friends to join in commemorating the nameday of Archbishop Elpidophoros and in celebrating the achievements of the award’s first recipients.
