On June 1, 2024, a delegation from the Orthodox Church in America, led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, arrived in Ukraine to begin a wider trip strengthening ties with the Orthodox Churches in Ukraine, Romania, and Constantinople. The delegation includes Archpriest Alexander Rentel, Chancellor of the OCA, Archpriest Nazari Polataiko, and Dn. Vitaly Permiakov.
The delegation will be in Ukraine from June 1 to June 4, where they will go to several churches and monasteries and engage in various meetings with local Orthodox hierarchs, clergy, and faithful. The highlight of the visit to Ukraine will be a concelebration of the hierarchical Divine Liturgy with His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev and All Ukraine in the Cathedral of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in Chernivtsi.
More information and updates will be made available on the OCA website and social media channels.
