On Sunday, October 3, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with the heads of the Orthodox jurisdictions in the United States and members of the Executive Committee of the Assembly of Bishops at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Washington, DC.

At the Liturgy, His Beatitude gave the sermon in which he spoke about the power of love to reveal us as “sons of the Most High” (Lk. 6:35). He went on to speak on the will of God shining in creation which “fall upon rich and poor, weak and strong, the vulnerable and the powerful — God shows no distinction.”
