On September 26, 2021, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon visited the parish of Three Saints in Ansonia, CT on the occasion of the parish’s 125th Anniversary. His Beatitude was welcomed by the parish and its rector Priest Patrick Burns.
On Sunday, His Beatitude presided at the celebration of Divine Liturgy. Serving with him were Priest Patrick Burns, Archpriest John Parker, Archpriest John Kreta, and Priest Lawrence Soper. At the Liturgy, Metropolitan Tikhon offered the homily. In his homily, His Beatitude spoke on the story of the miraculous catch of fish (Lk. 5:1-11) and used the Apostle Peter’s example as a model for deepening one’s faith in Christ.
During his visit, His Beatitude presented gramotas to Nina Kosowsky, Steven and Carol Zavednak, Rose Soncarato, Dorothy Dudchik, Andrew and Lynn Hvizd, Paul Juzwishen, Willian Troester, Nancy Dudchik, and Paula Pawchyk.
In addition, His Beatitude blessed an icon of the Three Saints and presented new antimensions to the parish.
