JOHNSTOWN, PA – With profound sadness the Diocesan Chancery announces that Rev Paul Eugene Tobias, the father of Very Rev. Jonathan Tobias, reposed in the Lord on Sunday, September 22, 2019.
Ordained as a pastor in the Churches of God General Conference in 1959, The Rev. Paul ministered to nine congregations in Indiana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. After semi-retiring in 2001, he continued to serve as an interim pastor for several more congregations before taking on the role of visitation pastor at Kingwood Church, where he finally retired fully in 2016, as pastor emeritus.
