The Orthodox Christian Mission Center [OCMC] has designated March 10, 2019—Forgiveness Sunday—as “Mission Sunday.”

In the weeks ahead, parishes across the US will receive packets of materials detailing some of OCMC’s mission efforts for the current year and beyond.  The packets also will include order forms for the popular mission coin boxes, in which donations may be placed throughout the lenten season, and Church School lesson plans – both of which offer great ways to engage parish youth in missions.  Coin boxes also may be ordered online.

OCMC speakers are available to visit parishes on Mission Sunday or during Great Lent.  For more information on speakers, please call 1-877-463-6784 or send an email to missions@ocmc.org.

In related news, OCMC in 2019 hopes to deploy seven more long-term missionaries in addition to its 150 short-term team volunteers, more than 400 clergy, and countless projects that transform the lives people around the world with Christ’s love.  Online information on this year’s OCMC mission team opportunities is also available on its website.

OCMC is the official missions agency of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America.
