NEW YORK – His Grace Metropolitan-elect of Chicago Nathanael Symeonides will be ordained a Bishop by His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios Geron of America, presiding at the services; concelebrating members of the Holy Eparchial Synod, and other Hierarchs from around the world on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (319 E 74th Street, NYC).

The service of Orthros will begin at 8:00 a.m. The Confession of Faith will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the Divine Liturgy and the Sacrament of Ordination beginning at 10:00 a.m.

At the completion of the Divine Liturgy, a reception will be hosted at the adjacent Cathedral Center for all the faithful. The new Metropolitan will celebrate his first Divine Liturgy as bishop, the next day, Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Greek Orthodox Church of Zoodohos Peghe (3573 Bruckner Blvd) in the Bronx.

The new Metropolitan of Chicago will be enthroned on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in Chicago (1017 N LaSalle Dr.). The enthronement service will begin at 11:00 a.m. The next day, Sunday, March 25, 2018, as the Chicago Cathedral celebrates the great feast of the Annunciation, Metropolitan Nathanael will celebrate his first Divine Liturgy.

An Internet video broadcast of the ordination service, and Divine Liturgy of Saturday March 17, 2018, will be available at www.goarch.org/live beginning at 9:00 a.m. (EDT), the ordination will also be streamed on the Archdiocese Facebook page at www.facebook.com/goarch
