On Monday, May 22, the Holy Orthodox Church commemorates the Translation of the Relics of St. Nicholas to Bari, in 1087. Bishop John led the Divine Services in St. Nicholas Cathedral in New York City on the occasion of its minor patronal feastday. His Grace was co-served by Archpriest Andrei Sommer, senior-priest of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York City, visiting and parish clergy.

At the conclusion of the services, the clergy served a moleben before the icon of the heavenly protector of the cathedral. Afterwards, interaction continued between parishioners in the cathedral refectory.
