Stewardship Coordinators Retreat To Be Held At Camp Nazareth

JOHNSTOWN, PA [Diocesan Chancery] It is with great pleasure that His Grace, Bishop Gregory and the members of the Diocesan Stewardship Commission announces that the first ACROD stewardship coordinator retreat will be held at Camp Nazareth, from Friday September 16th to Sunday September 18th, 2016. The theme of the retreat is “Parish Application of Stewardship.”

Many of the Diocesan parish stewardship coordinators and parish council members have expressed concern about how to implement a stewardship program into their parishes and this retreat will focus on those concerns. Those in attendance will be coming together as one body to worship our Lord and to discuss and identify the problems or concerns they may be facing in stewardship within their parishes. They will also be learning solutions to these concerns so that stewardship may be realized as a way of life for each of them and their parishes. The retreat is designed to offer as much general and individual support that each participant may have.

In addition, as much support and learning that the retreat will offer, it will also be a time of fellowship, fun, laughter and joy. The retreat will be a time to get to know one another and bond together in our Lord, as stewardship coordinators. His Grace,Bishop Gregory and members of the stewardship commission look forward to spending this weekend with all of our parish stewardship coordinators.

As with any retreat there is important information that is needed from the participantsmake the retreat a success. Parish stewardship coordinators are kindly asked to view and fill out the retreat registration form (included below) and email it back to Stephanie Betsa, retreat coordinator, skbetsa@gmail.com by August 1, 2016. The cost of the retreat will be covered by the Diocese although each coordinator is responsible for their individual travel to and from the camp.
