Only those Orthodox jurisdictions which are either an autocephalous church themselves, part of an autocephalous church, or in direct communion with an autocephalous church, are represented in this directory. We realize that there may be other Orthodox jurisdictions in America. In not representing them here we are not implying they are not Orthodox. It can, however, be quite difficult to sort out the ecclesial status of the various jurisdictions which are not in communion with the other jurisdictions represented here. Regrettably, we felt that we had to draw the line somewhere.
